Thérèse of Lisieux (French: sainte Thérèse de Lisieux), born Marie Françoise-Thérèse Martin (2 January – 30 September ), also known as Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face, was a French Catholic Discalced Carmelite nun who is widely venerated in modern times. She is popularly known as "The Little Flower of Jesus", or simply "The Little Flower.”Beatified: 29 April by Pope Pius XI. Today we remember a whole group of courageous Korean Christians— martyrs canonized together in Among them were Andrew, a year-old priest; Paul, a year-old seminarian; Columba Kim, a year-old single woman, and her sister .

He says he believes that St. Teresa of the Andes is the only saint ever to declare that “God is infinite joy.” As he notes in the documentary, that claim is not even made in the Bible! Fr. de Lassus believes that Jesus stole little Juanita’s heart during her First Communion. Her response to Jesus' plea, "Come be My light," made her a Missionary of Charity, a "mother to the poor," a symbol of compassion to the world, and a living witness to the thirsting love of God. As a testament to her most remarkable life, Pope John Paul II permitted the opening of her Cause of Canonization.
